The Event Horizon Gaming convention was a three-day extravaganza of gaming, held in the heart of Birmingham, Alabama. This was my first time attending this convention, and it did not disappoint! From the minute I walked through the door until the minute I left, I was having a blast.
There were so many things to do at this convention! For starters, there was a massive vendor hall, where gamers could buy all sorts of goodies, from games and consoles to clothing and artwork. There were also lots of opportunities to play games. Attendees could choose from an array of console and arcade games, as well as a variety of tabletop games. If that wasn't enough, there were also several panels and workshops to attend. Topics ranged from how to make your own board game to tips for aspiring streamers.
One of my favorite aspects of the convention were the cosplayers. People came from all over to show off their amazing costumes and skills. I saw everything from elaborate steampunk outfits to incredibly lifelike anime characters. It was really impressive!
